| Fitness Malaysia started out as a local fitness magazine which was distributed for FREE in gyms, shopping complexes and other public areas and very quickly became a hit with people around the country. Unlike other fitness magazines out there, Fitness Malaysia focused on localized fitness content which is practical to lay people who have limited time to work out because of family and work commitments. In other words, no overseas content (which does not apply to people here), no celebrity diet and exercise plans (which take 4 to 5 hours a day) and all this for free.
Noticing the success of Fitness Malaysia and the enthusiasm of its readers, we have received many partnership offers from various publications. Wanting to keep true to the kind of fitness advice we share with you the reader, we have rejected many of these offers as most of them wanted to change our style. However in April 2009, we received an offer from The Critique, a new lifestyle magazine which will be launched on October 1, 2009. After much discussion, we have agreed to tie up with The Critique as they share the same goals with us and we are free to continue writing what we have been writing about. Hence you can start looking for copies of the Critique in news stands from October 1, 2009 onwards and you will be able to get your monthly dose of fitness advice, the Fitness Malaysia way.
